Code 6 = Multiple pressure switch trips during a single call for heat.

CHECKOUT:

1. Check Operation

• Start the furnace with a call for heat.
  • Inducer motor should start within 15 seconds.
    • Inducer motor starts & runs normally → Step 2. Check Pressure Switch
    • Inducer Starts + Makes Unusual Noise ⇒ Remove inducer motor and check for Item Stuck In Inducer
      • Inducer but still very loud = Bad Inducer Motor
    • Inducer Does Not Start + Code 3 ⇒ Check for 115V power to inducer.
      • Power but No Inducer = Bad Inducer Motor

2. Check Pressure Switch

• Use a pressure gauge to check the pressure at the switch.
• Compare actual pressure to pressure rating on the switch (-.75" typical).
  • Pressure Near or Below Rating = Blocked or Restricted Vent
  • Pressure Well Above Rating + Switch Open = Bad Pressure Switch
