York Heat Pump: YHM

The fault and status codes for the YHM heat pump are displayed on the small control board mounted beneath the large inverter board.

Fault Code 10 = Outdoor (Ambient) Sensor Failure (Open)

Qty Possible Cause Action
1. Loose plug on the control board.

Check the plug where it connects to the control board.

2. Faulty wiring

Check the wiring between the control board and the outdoor sensor.

3. Bad sensor

Unplug the sensor from the control board and check resistance of the sensor.

4. Bad Control Board

Replace the control board. If the problem persists, proceed to last step.

Last Step. If fault remains.
