Re: Constant Flashing WAIT

The thermostat appears to never come out of the WAIT timer.

  • The flashing WAIT displayed on a Honeywell digital thermostat indicates that the thermostat is in an Anti-Short-Cycle Delay (ASCD).

Qty Possible Causes:
3 Low Voltage Short
Bad Thermostat

CHECKOUT:

1. Check For Short

  • Disconnect the low voltage wires connected to "Y" and "G" at the thermostat subbase or EIM.
  • Restart a call for cooling/heating from the thermostat and see if the WAIT timer expires properly.
    • Responds Correctly = Low Voltage Short on "Y" or "G".
    • Constant Flashing WAIT = Bad Thermostat
