Re: Connect a C7189R Redlink Wireless Indoor Sensor

This sensor monitors temperature and humidity in any indoor location and transmits it wirelessly to the thermostat.

You can set the system to monitor temperature at the thermostat, or at the sensor location, or use an average of both to optimize comfort throughout the home.

The thermostat can accommodate and average temperature readings from as many as 6 sensors.

  • When multiple sensors are installed, the thermostat can monitor temperature and humidity in separate locations, and you can set it to use different readings from different sensors.
  • For example, one sensor can control humidification on the main level, while another controls dehumidification in a crawl space. For more information, see the instructions provided with the thermostat.

NOTE: The thermostat will display a warning to replace batteries in the indoor sensor about 2 months before power is depleted.

The sensor status light will begin flashing red about 3 weeks before power is depleted.

During normal operation, the status light remains off.

Connect Sensor:

  • Install batteries in the remote sensor.
  • Enter Wireless Manager at thermostat under Installer Options.
  • Select "Add Device".
  • When prompted by the thermostat, press the Connect button on the back of the remote sensor.
    • A message will display, showing that the Indoor Sensor has been added.

NOTE: Thermostat must have 24VAC power applied in order to connect wireless devices.
