York Gas Furnace: TG9S/GY9S
Re: Flashing Code 11
This indicates that a primary or auxiliary limit switch has opened and has remained open for more than five minutes. This condition is usually associated with an air circulation failure.
► Code 11 is a Hard-Lockout which requires cycling 24VAC power to the furnace board to reset (or cycling 115V power).

CHECKOUT:
1. Check Blower Motor/Wheel
- Turn off power to the furnace.
- Open the blower access door and check the condition of the blower wheel.
- Check to see if the motor and wheel turn freely.
2. Check Motor Operation
- Turn on power to the furnace.
- Energize a call for "Fan" by jumping "R" to "G".
3. Check Control Board/Motor
- These furnaces use and X-13 ECM blower motor (constant 120V + 24V speed input on 1,2,3,4 or 5).
- With power applied to the furnace, check for 120V at the motor high voltage harness between BLK/WHT and WHT.
- No Power = No Furnace Power or Loose Wiring
- Power Present ⇒ Continue
- Check for 24VAC between 24V COM and G on the control board fan outputs.
- No Power = Bad Control Board ⇒ It may be possible to hook a blower speed to the "EAC" terminal to get temporary fan operation.
- Power Present + No Blower Operation = Bad Motor, Bad Capacitor or Bad Wiring
4. Check Limits
- Check for 24VAC between both sides of the primary limit and "C".
- Power on Both Sides = Limit Closed
- Power on One Side Only = Limit Open
- Limit Open + Cool Chamber = Bad Limit
- Alternatively, check for 24VAC between the Red wire on Pin#1 and the Red/Grn wire on Pin#7 of the 12-pin plug.
- No Power = Limit Closed
- Power Present = Limit Open
