The XP15 Heat Pumps have a compressor protection module. It has its own diagnostic fault indication.

| Green | Line voltage power present |
| Red | Y is present, but the module is in fault |
| Yel 1 | Extremely long compressor run cycle |
| Yel 2 | Pressure switch trip (either High or Low) |
| Yel 3 | Compressor short-cycling |
| Yel 4 | Compressor locked rotor |
| Yel 5 | Line voltage not present |
| Yel 6 | Open "Start" windings |
| Yel 7 | Open "Run" windings |
| Yel 8 | Stuck contactor |
| Yel 9 | Low voltage < 17VAC |
