CHECKOUT:
1. Check CO Sensor
- Turn off power to the unit.
- Open the blower door to access the coil and drain pan.
- Inspect drain pan to see if it is full of water.
- Inspect the CO sensor to ensure that it is not touching anything.
2. Check Drain Hose
- Inspect the clear, rubber drain hose connecting the coil to the drain outlet.
- Very common for the hose to become clogged.
3. Check Drain Line
- If the unit is internally trapped (rubber drain hose), there must be an open air vent in the pvc drain immediately upon exiting the unit.
- If the unit is not internally trapped, an external drain trap is required.
4. Test Drainage System
- Test the drainage system by manually filling the drain pan with water.
- Ensure that water exits the drain promptly and completely.
