Re: Error Code P04 / Fault Code P04
P04 = High Pressure switch tripped on outdoor unit.
♦ The compressor contactor overload is wired in series with the high pressure switch, so be aware that an overload trip may also cause a Code P04.
Possible Causes (From Most to Least Likely):
- Phase Loss (Overload Trip)
- Condenser Fan Failure
- Bad Pressure Switch
- Refrigerant Overcharge
- Dirty Outdoor Coil
CHECKOUT
- Confirm Lockout Condition
- Check LED1 & LED2 on the outdoor unit control board.
- LED1 Flashes: 2=P Alarm, 3=H Alarm, 4=E Alarm, 5=F Alarm, 6=L Alarm
- LED2 Flashes = Alarm No.

- Reset Compressor Overloads
- Each compressor contactor has a white button on the right side.
- Push the button in to reset.
- Cycle Power
- Turn off power to the unit(s) & wait until all LEDs go off.
- Turn power back on & give the unit(s) 5 minutes to either restart or flash an error code.
